thefridayfive on a thursday, what is the world coming to
1. Are you prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse (essentially any disaster, natural or otherwise)?
This is fun because I was talking to High School BFF about this just the other day.

Short answer, no. Probably not. I have garbage eyesight. You know Velma Dinkley and her whole, 'my glasses, my glasses! I can't see without my glasses!' bit? That's me. I also have a reproductive disease, atypical epilepsy, menstrual migraines, antibiotic allergies, painkiller allergies, grass allergies— you name it! The spirit is willing; the body is a host of Problems™. All the weight training and rock climbing in the world can't save me from that.
In terms of a non-apocalyptic disaster (lol all disasters are apocalyptic these days), I actually have a bug-out bag! I'll go into that further below.
2. What's in your bug-in (stay safe at home) kit?
I mean, like... everything in my house? I guess if I ever get Covid again, I'll need a bug-in bag. But I don't anticipate being in a situation where my home is inaccessible to me in an emergency.
3. What's in your bug-out bag?
A blanket, a warm pair of socks, spare underwear, protein bars, a fillable water thermos, my passport, polysporin, bandaids, and topical painkiller cream. I actually packed this over the weekend when BC declared a state of emergency - I likely won't need it, but I'm glad I have it.
4. What's on your 'to get' list?
Water bottles - not a fillable one, but ones that come pre-packaged with water. I don't like the water bottle industry, but I can live with it. A whistle, a flashlight, soup packets, and a portable phone and/or USB charger.
5. Do you keep gear in your vehicle, if so, what?
I don't have a vehicle. I can't legally drive, as per the aforementioned atypical epilepsy. So I guess I'm extra screwed! ♥
I'm curious, dear readers - how do you think you'd fare in a zombie apocalypse?
